Daily Inspiration: The Love Project as found in Wellness Workbook by Travis & Ryan

Another creative and successful use of thought energy was manifested in Brooklyn’s Jefferson High School. After several years of teaching at this inner city school, Arlene Lawrence decided to confront the violence and fear of teachers and students around her with love. She and a small group of students developed six principles, shared them with others, and began to practice them.

1. Be the change you want to see happen, instead of trying to change everyone else.

2. Receive all persons as beautiful exactly where they are.

3. Provide people was opportunities to give.

4. Perceive problems as opportunities.

5. Have no expectations, but rather abundant expectancy.

6. Create your own reality consciously, rather than living as if you had no control over your life.

The result of thinking in these ways, even by a few people had dramatic effects. It caught on! Much of the hate and fear in the environment faded. People were inspired. Love had triumphed.

I drew this graphic originally for a Valentine card. It best describes the heart of the matter! We are sometimes called the "Rainbow Warriors" and the "Tribe of Many Colors", yet we are all together in this circle of life, where love is really what makes the world go round. Since ideas are strengthened by sharing, this is the message we want to pass around.
